What it is
This site offers free short URL redirection services. You can use
this service to create a shorter link to share with your friends via
email, IM, etc. So for example, instead of using a long URL such as:
http://www.houstoncrimestats.org/index.php?street=1019+Congress+St.&zip=77002
you can give a much shorter one like:
http://1ne1.com/kc
How it works
We take your long URL and store it in a database with a unique ID. We provide a short URL to our site, referencing that ID and send visitors requesting it to the page you specified when you created it. The links are kept in the database for at least a year before being deleted if not indefinately.
